GraceKids exists to create a safe and loving environment
to communicate the gospel to each child and family
who attends Grace Marin. Our vision is
to see childrens lives transformed by the gospel and in turn see
the gospel transforming their families, neighborhoods and schools.
We believe:
- Children are gifts from God and valuable members of the community. (Psalm
127:3, Matthew 19:14)
- Children, just like adults, are sinful and
in need of Christs saving
love. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)
- Children can grow in faith and learn to make wise choices.
(Luke 2:52; Proverbs 22:6)
- The church must walk alongside the family to
train children in godliness. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)
Were
excited about the holistic nature of the curriculum
for the fall, called Show Me
Jesus published by Great Commission Publications.
This is a complete and systematic curriculum
that teaches
the Bible in an interactive and age appropriate
way with up-to-date visuals, lessons, and activities. Children of nursery and toddler age (0-3) meet
together in room 105 (upstairs) for the whole service.
You will receive a pager when you drop off your
child prior to the worship service. Your pager
will be required for pick-up of your child. Class
time includes Bible stories, singing, free play,
crafts, and snacks and is supervised by Lorena
Lotosh.
Pre-K - 1st grade Fall quarter curriculum is called Living Together. The children will join Katie Renken and Tina Bauer in an exploration of Old Testament stories to learn that it is God who gives us faith, changes us and takes care of us, not because of anything we do but because he chooses us to be in his family. They will discover that God uses people, including us, to carry out his good purposes.
The curriculum for 2nd-5th grade children, with teachers Sharon Sterling and Gwen Miles, is called Worshiping God. Through Old and New testament stories, lessons will focus on how and why we are called to worship God. Scripture reveals that He is truly worthy of our worship. |
